Its 'V' For Vienetta and 'C' For Cornetto

Guy Fawkes and his gang of English Roman Catholics tried to blow up the hooses of Parliament on 5th November 1605 attempting to kill King James I of England (James VI of Scotland) and the Protestant aristocracy.
They were caught and tortured then sentenced to be hung drawn and quartered.
The 35 year old Fawkes leap off the platform with the rope round his neck, snapping his neck thus avoiding the worse of the sentence of being hung a bit then cut up and ripped apart while still alive.

Fawkes is said to have been: "The only man to ever enter parliament with honourable intentions."

Britain doesn't take failure well, especially from Fenian Cocksuckers trying to blow us up. Every year bonfires have effigies of Fawkes on top to remind everyone just how bad Catholics are.
